Abstract

Un método para producir un informe de prospeccion de estratos subterráneos, el cual comprende: remolcar, en forma simultánea, un transmisor de campo electromagnético y una fuente sísmica detrás de un buque; remolcar por lo menos un hidrofono detrás del mismo buque, donde dicho hidrofono o hidrofonos tienen receptores de campo electromagnético para medir el campo eléctrico y receptores sísmicos para medir la respuesta sísmica ; aplicar un campo electromagnético a los estratos utilizando el transmisor de campo electromagnético y detectar la respuesta del campo electromagnético utilizando los receptores de campo electromagnético; aplicar un evento sísmico a los estratos utilizando la fuente sísmica y detectar la respuesta sísmica utilizando los receptores sísmicos; analizar las respuestas del campo electromagnético; anaizar las respuestas sísmicas y reconciliar las dos respuestas, con el proposito de producir un informe acerca de la presencia y naturaleza de los estratos.
