Abstract
Técnicas para llevar a cabo el control de la potencia y la transferencia. En un aspecto, el control de la potencia (PC) está soportado con multiples modos de PC tales como un modo de PC arriba-abajo y un modo de PC basado en borrado. Puede seleccionarse un modo de PC para su uso. Si se selecciona el modo de PC ascendente-descendente, entonces una estacion base estima la calidad de la senal recibida para un terminal y envía comandos de PC para dirigir el terminal para que ajuste su potencia de transmision. Si se selecciona el modo de PC basado en borrado, entonces la estacion base envía indicaciones de borrado que indican si las palabras de codigo recibidas procedentes del terminal, están borradas o están sin borrar. Para ambos modos de PC, el terminal ajusta su potencia de transmision sobre la base de la retroalimentacion para el control de la potencia (por ejemplo, comandos de PC e/o indicaciones de borrado) para lograr un nivel teorico de performance (por ejemplo, un coeficiente teorico de borrado para las palabras de codigo). Las indicaciones de borrado también pueden utilizarse para la transferencia (handoff).
