Abstract

Procedimiento para la elaboración de microcápsulas recubiertas que contienen principios farmacológicamente activos de sabor desagradable con una distribución del tamaño de partícula homogéneo y un tamaño de partícula uniforme inferior a 1.000 micrones, en el cual el recubrimiento se realiza en forma inmediata a la formación de las microcápsulas, sin secado previo de las mismas; y en donde dichas microcápsulas recubiertas son de aplicación en la elaboración de formas farmacéuticas de uso oral y sabor agradable. El principio farmacológicamente activo se incorpora disuelto o en suspensión (con un tamaño de partícula comprendido entre 20 y 120 micrones) a una solución que contiene bicarbonato de sodio, alginato de sodio y un tensioactivo conveniente; la suspensión así formada se dispersa bajo agitación sobre una solución acuosa de cloruro de calcio a temperatura inferior a 60° C, preferentemente entre 40 y 60° C, y se mantiene la agitación entre 5 minutos y 2 horas, produciéndose en una sola etapa la gelificación de alginato de sodio y la formación de microcápsulas con alto contenido de principio activo.
