Abstract

Se provee un disco de múltiples usos, mejorado, adecuado para ser utilizado en un swiper de tarjetas con tira magnética, una lectora de tarjetas de IC y un drive óptico para leer los datos. El disco de múltiples usos, mejorado, se caracteriza porqueuna zona para la lectura de datos comprende un área de lectura para un disco óptico y un chip de IC (y una tira magnética), y una delgada película para tarjetas con patrones repujados se halla fijada a la tarjeta, de manera tal que la suma de lacombinación de los espesores de la tarjeta y de la delgada película para tarjetas es de aproximadamente 0,8 mm, lo cual cumple con la norma ISO 7816. La tarjeta puede ser clocada en una zona de carga sobre una placa de recubrimiento con un espesorde 0,4 mm de manera tal que el disco de múltiples usos combina las funciones de una tarjeta convencional de modo dual (tira magnética/chip de IC) y un disco óptico convencional, de manera de lograr ventajas tales como la de ser adecuado tanto parael swiping de la tira magnética como para el acceso al chip de IC, además de presentar una memoria de gran capacidad.
