Abstract

Se describe un sistema de dirección servo-asistida accionado por correa para usar en un vehículo con la finalidad de eliminar pérdidas de energía. El sistema de dirección servo-asistida accionado por correa incluye una polea (16) accionada por correa, impulsada por un cigüenal de motor en el vehículo; un primer engranaje (20) conectado operativamente a la polea (16) a través de un primer árbol (18), proveyendo el primer engranaje (20) rotación de accionamiento en una dirección; un segundo engranaje (22) alineado con y accionado por dicho primer engranaje (20), proveyendo dicho segundo engranaje (22) rotación de accionamiento en una dirección opuesta a la rotación del primer engranaje (20); medios de control de potencia (24, 26) conectados operativamente a dicho primer engranaje (20) y a dicho segundo engranaje (22) para suministrar potencia en la dirección deseada; un sistema de dirección (32) conectado operativamente a los medios de control de potencia (24, 26) para dirigir el vehículo hacia la izquierda ó hacia la derecha; un volante de dirección (34) conectado operativamente a los medios de control de potencia (24, 26), estando la potencia suministrada a los medios de control basada en la fuerza ejercida por el conductor sobre el sistema de dirección (32) a través del volante de dirección (34); y un medio sensor de momento (36) para detectar el momento aplicado al volante de dirección (34) por el conductor para dirigir el vehículo en una dirección servo-asistida hacia la izquierda o hacia la derecha.
