Abstract
Un aparato procesador de residuos para procesar una columna de residuos en una cámara de procesamiento que tiene una o más salidas de gas en una parte superior de ésta y uno o más sopletes de plasma, uno de cuyos extremos de salida se extiende en una parte inferior de la cámara. El aparato se caracteriza porque tiene una o más cámaras de distribucion y mezclado de fluido oxidante y una o más entradas de fluido oxidante conectadas con ella para proporcionar fluido oxidante a dicha cámara de distribucion y mezclado desde una fuente adecuada, donde cada cámara oxidante y de mezclado tiene una abertura periférica en comunicacion fluida periférica y sustancialmente continua con una columna de residuos que se acomoda en la parte inferior de la cámara y en comunicacion fluida con las entradas de fluido oxidante; y, además, una pared periférica externa de la cámara de distribucion y mezclado está formada por un desplazamiento hacia fuera en sentido lateral de una pared que mira hacia adentro de la parte inferior de la cámara de procesamiento respecto de una pared que mira hacia adentro de la parte superior de la cámara de procesamiento. Las entradas de fluido oxidante están separadas de ûy se comunican con- los sopletes de plasma, de manera tal que durante el funcionamiento del aparato el fluido oxidante fluya desde las entradas de fluido oxidante, ingrese en dicha cámara de distribucion y mezclado, y se dirija a una zona de alta temperatura generada por los sopletes de plasma que se comunican con las entradas de fluido oxidante.
