Abstract
Se revela una máquina, mejorada, para el manipuleo de líquidos, capaz de regular la temperatura de los compuestos de ensayo durante la preparacion automatizada de bandejas de cultivo para ensayos biologicos. La máquina incluye una mesa horizontalmente movil posicionada por debajo de un cabezal verticalmente movil. La mesa está dividida en una pluralidad de estaciones que contienen bandejas de mezclado, bandejas de cultivo y depositos de compuesto de ensayo líquido. El cabezal contiene una pluralidad de pipetas que aspiran y expulsan el líquido a efectos de transferir y mezclar los compuestos de ensayo entre el deposito, las bandejas de mezclado y las bandejas de cultivo, al efectuarse el movimiento coordinado del cabezal y de la mesa, controlado por una microprocesadora. Cada una de las estaciones sobre la mesa tiene una calefaccion y refrigeracion independientes, y elementos detectores de la temperatura, para regular la temperatura del líquido contenido en una bandeja o deposito en la estacion. Junto con la máquina manipuladora de líquidos, mejorada, se incluye un dispositivo para evaluar automáticamente los resultados del ensayo, tal como mediante técnicas de fluorescencia espectrofotometría o radioactividad.
