Para la determinacion de una tasa de error en un dispositivo biométrico (BER) se almacenan una cantidad de sentencias características ajenas en un banco de datos (DAB), las que son comparadas con la sentencia característica del autorizado, de donde se determinan las tasas de error personales (FAR, FRR) para el autorizado.
