En un sistema de telecomunicaciones inalámbrico movil GSM, un método para transportar una senalizacion entre una estacion movil y una estacion - base porintermedio de una interface aérea CDMA, incluye generar un mensaje de senalizacion basado en una norma de interface GSM. Se proveen servicios de enlace dedatos para procesar el mensaje para su transmision por intermedio de la interface aérea CDMA, y el mensaje procesad es seguidamente transmitido por intermediode la interface aérea CDMA. Es pref erible que los servicios de enlace de datos sean provistos por una capa de enlace de datos, que produce un mensaje IS-95 aser transmitido.
