Abstract
Un sistema y método para proporcionar un nivel de calidad de servicio (QoS) requerido para una llamada que se origina en una red de radiotelecomunicacionesmovil y se encamina a través de una red de Protocolo de Voz por Internet (VOIP). Las conexionesde senalizacion se establecen entre un centro de conmutacion delos servicios moviles (MSC) de la red movil y por lo menos una cabecera VOIP. El MSC envía un Mensaje de Direccion Inicial (IAM) a la cabecera VOIP e incluyeun nuevo parámetro QoS requerida. La cabecera consulta al guardián de entrada de la red VOIP para determinar si puede proporcionar la QoS requerida. Si sepuede proporcionar la QoS requerida, se envía de la red conmutada por paquetes a la red movil una indicacion de que se puedeproporcionar la QoS requerida. Sino se puede proporcionar la QoS requerida, se envía de la red conmutada por paquetes a la red movil una indicacion de que no se puede proporcionar la QoSrequerida.
