Abstract

Un método y un aparato para introducir en forma continua una substancia en fase líquida en gránulos de plástico por medio de los pasos de: a) alimentar unflujo sustancialmente continuo de dichos gránulos de plástico en por lo menos una cámara de rociado (40, 29) sustancialmente estática; b) rociar dichasubstancia en fase líquida sobre los gránulos de plástico que fluyen en forma continua dentro de dicha cámara de rociado (40, 29); c) someter a mezclado losgránulos parcialmente o totalmente recubiertos con dicha substancia en fase líquida, que dejan en forma continua la cámara de rociado (40, 29), por medio deelementos de mezclado (6) sustancialmente estáticos soportados dentro de una zona de mezclado (5) provista corriente abajo de dicha cámara de rociado (40, 29)y que comprende por lo menos una cámara de mezclado (5a, 5b); d) someter los gránulos así obtenidos a secado durante un tiempo suficiente para permitir unaabsorcion sustancialmente completa de la substancia en fase líquida porlos gránulos. Ventajosamente, se permite impregnar en forma continua los gránulos deplástico, reduciendo a la mejor medida la accion abrasiva sobre los gránulos propiamente dichos y de este modo minimizando la generacion de polvo de plástico.A method and an apparatus for continuously introducing a liquid phase substance into plastic granules by means of the steps of: a) feeding a substantially continuous flow of said plastic granules into at least one spray chamber (40, 29) substantially static; b) spraying said liquid phase substance onto the plastic granules that flow continuously into said spray chamber (40, 29); c) mixing the granules partially or totally coated with said substance in liquid phase, which continuously leave the spray chamber (40, 29), by means of substantially static mixing elements (6) supported within a mixing zone ( 5) provided downstream of said spray chamber (40, 29) and comprising at least one mixing chamber (5a, 5b); d) subjecting the granules thus obtained to drying for a time sufficient to allow a substantially complete absorption of the substance in liquid phase by the granules. Advantageously, it is allowed to impregnate the plastic granules continuously, reducing the abrasive action on the granules themselves and thus minimizing the generation of plastic powder.
