Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a materiales y métodos utiles para el control de plagas y, en especial, de plagas de las plantas. Más específicamente, lapresente invencion presenta nuevas secuencias de polinucleotidos optimizadas para la expresion en plantas que codifican toxinas pesticidas. Las secuencias depolinucleotidos de la presente invencion presentan ciertas modificaciones, en comparacion con las secuencias de tipo salvaje, por ejemplo que las hacenespecialmente adecuadas para la expresion optimizada en plantas. Mediante el uso de las secuencias de polinucleotidos aquí descriptas, se puede lograr latransformacion de plantas, por medio de técnicas conocidos por los expertos en la técnica, para conferir a dichas plantas resistencia alas plagas. En lasrealizaciones preferidas, la presente invencion presenta secuencias de polinucleotidos optimizadas para la expresion en plantas que codifican proteínas toxicasa las que se puede denominar toxinas cytC. También se describe una toxina preferida codificada por un gen optimizado para la expresion en plantas.
