Abstract
Un revestimiento para una carga explosiva hueca, tal como aquellas usadas en operaciones de perforacion en pozos de gas y petroleo, está formado apartir de una mezcla de metales en forma de polvo que incluye molibdeno. El molibdeno permite obtenerun revestimiento de mayor densidad para crear chorrosmás densos y alcanzar una penetracion más profunda, pero sin los efectos negativos que acompanan a menudo al uso de materiales de mayor densidad. Elmolibdeno se puede usar en cantidades de 0,5% al25 % en peso de la mezcla de metales, formando el resto de la mezcla con tungsteno y otrosconstituyentes. Una carga explosiva hueca que comprende: una carcasa que tiene una pared interna; un revestimiento formado a partir de una mezcla demetales enpolv o que contiene por lo menos molibdeno y un metal de alta densidad, ambos ubicados en el interior de la carcasa; y un material explosivodispuesto dentro del interior de la carcasa entre la pared interna y el revestimiento.
