Abstract

Conector de fibra optica (10) con fibras opticas (16) que tienen superficies de terminacion de fibra optica (64) para el transporte de senal optica haciay/o desde las fibras opticas. Las superficies de terminacion de fibra optica (64) están colocadasen los extremos exteriores de porciones de espigas (56) delconector de fibra optica (10). Una parte movible (40) del cuerpo del conector se coloca de tal manera que las porciones de espigas (56) se reciben las paredesinteriores (70) en la parte delcuerpo (40). Luego, las superficies de terminacion de fibra optica (64) se colocan, para uso del conector, en los extremosinteriores de las aberturas del conector de apertura frontal (75) formado por los extremos exteriores de las paredes interiores(70). La parte del cuerpo (40)se quita de las porciones de espigas (56) para permitir el acceso a las superficies de terminacion de fibra optica (64) para la limpieza de éstas.
