Abstract

Un procedimiento y aparato para recubrir medicamentos con gelatina, que incluye un sistema continuo de transporte para hacer avanzar una pluralidad de bandejas de carga a través de una estacion de carga por lo menos una estacion de inmersion, por lomenos una estacion de secado, una estacion de reorientacion y unaestacion de descarga. Los medicamentos que han de ser recubiertos son cargados en bandejas de carga en le estacion de carga y se los hace avanzar hasta laprimera estacion de inmersiond onde se aplica un vacío para sujetar el medicamento a la bandeja de carga. La bandeja de carga es invertida y una primeraporcion de cada uno de los medicamentos es sumergida en la mezcla de recubrimiento. La bandeja de carga es vuelta entonces asu posicion vertical, se quita elvacío y se seca el recubrimiento. Los medicamentos son entonces transferidos de la primera bandeja de carga a una segunda bandeja de carga mediante unmecanismo de reorientacion. Se hace avanzar la segunda bandeja decarg a a través de la estacion de secado y los medicamentos enteramente recubiertos sonexpulsados de la bandeja de carga a un contenedor. The medications to be coated are loaded into cargo trays at the loading station and advanced to the first immersion station where a vacuum is applied to hold the medication to the loading tray. The loading tray is inverted and a first portion of each medication is submerged in the coating mixture. The loading tray is then turned to its vertical position, the vacuum is removed and the coating is dried. The medications are then transferred from the first loading tray to a second loading tray by means of a reorientation mechanism. The second cargo tray is advanced through the drying station and the fully coated medications sonexpulsed from the loading tray into a container. The loading trays used to hold the medications include a support member similar to a plate, which is based on a flexible support plate having a rectangular formation of receptacles, including diaphragm portions adjusted to the standards of nature such that when the application is applied empty to the loading tray, the medications are subject to it. The drying medium includes air conductive plates that have sinusoidal rows of air conductive openings under which the drugs to be dried pass.
