Abstract
Existen muchas pausas naturales durante las operaciones de perforacion rotativa donde una porcion de la sarta de varillas de perforacion permaneceestacionaria. Las pausas incluyen las conexiones de las varillas de perforacion,tiempo de circulacion y operaciones de pesca. Estas pausas sonusadas para obtener mediciones de evaluacion de la formacion que tomam mucho tiempo o que se benefician de un entorno silencioso, al contrario del entornode perforacion naturalmenteruidoso. Para identificar el modo de perforacion y controlar la secuencia de adquisicion de datos pueden usarse varias técnicasque son sensibles al flujo del lodo, peso del trépano o movimiento de la sarta de varillas de perforacion, ya bien seaindividualm ente o en combinacion.
