Abstract

Se configura un sistema de comunicacion inalámbrico a base de paquetes, de acuerdo con un modelo de célula que utiliza células direccionales de multiplessectores. Una realizacion ilustrativa utiliza un modelo de célula de cinco sectores, con antenas direccionales de 72* aproximadamente, en la estacion debase de cada célula. La asignacion de canales de frecuencia a sectores de células en el modelo de célula se repite en grupos de seis células en todo elsistema. Dicho modelo de célulapermite al sistema emplear un factor de reutilizacion de frecuencia de uno, de tal modo que se puede utilizarbásicamente el mismo conjunto de canales de comunicacion en cada célula del sistema. En otras aplicaciones posibles del modelo decélula, se puede disponerlas posiciones de sector de las antenas direccionales de tal modo que los sectores en un acélula dada son girados por un numero entero o no entero desectores relacionados con los sectores de una célula adyacente, o sepuede fijar las posiciones de sector de las antenas direccionales para todas lascélulas. Se puede utilizar la presente invencion para aumentar la capacidad de un sistema inalámbrico distinto de CDMA, sin aumentar de modo considerable lainterferencia de canales propios.
