Abstract

Un producto de cereal cocido enriquecido con una composicion que comprende una fuente de EDTA y una fuente de hierro distinta al EDTA férrico. El productocomprende aproximadamente de 53 a 635 mg del hierro total proveniente de la conbinacion dela fuente de hierro y de la fuente del EDTA por kilogramo dedicho producto de cereal cocido, y preferiblemente comprende de 88 a 300 mg del hierro total por kilogramo. Este producto es util para prevenir o tratar laanemia por deficiencia de hierro. La relacion molar de EDTA, hierro está en el rango de 1:1 a 1:4.
