Abstract
Un proceso para la oxidacion en fase líquida de butano para producir ácido acético por reaccion de oxígeno y butano en presencia de un catalizador decobalto en una composicion de reaccion líquida en una zona de reaccion de oxidacion, que se lleva a cabo a una temperatura en la zona de reaccion delorden de 120 a 180°C, al mismo tiempo que se mantiene de forma continua una concentracion de oxígeno por toda la zona de reaccion equivalente a una presionparcial de oxígeno superior 2 bares,y una concentracion de catalizador de cobalto para la oxidacion en la composicion de reaccion líquida de por lomenos 0,12% en peso de cobalto y hasta su límite de solubilidad en la composicion de reaccion líquida. Un reactor adecuadopara usarse en laproduccion de ácido acético comprende dos zonas de reaccion en donde una primera zona de reaccion es capaz de alojar una primera composicion de reaccionlíquida en recirculacion sin ninguna interfase gas/líquido con una fasegaseosa de cabeza y una segunda zona de reaccion capaz de alojar una segundacomposicion de reaccion líquida con una interfase gas/líquido y con una fase gaseosa de cabeza, estando adaptada dicha primera zona de reaccion para alojarun medio de entrada para el gas y/o líquido y un medio deflector adaptado para utilizarse en la dispersion por toda la primera zona de reaccion del gas/líquido introducidos a través del medio de entrada.
