Abstract

Un método para remover una parte esencial de los patógenos portados en el agua de un líquido acuoso contaminado con tales patógenos portados en el agua.El método incluye los pasos de pasar el líquido acuoso contaminado a través de un filtro mofidicado con carga químicamente compuesto de: 1) una hoja de filtroteniendo una pluralidad de materiales de filtro a base de sílice y fibras de celulosa expuestas individuales seleccionadas de particulados de sílice yfibras silíceas; y 2) modificadores de carga química catiónicos recubiertos sobre la superficie de la hoja de filtro. Cuando el líquido acuoso es pasado através del filtro modificado con carga químicamente, una parte esencial de los patógenos portados en el agua mayores de alrededor de 0.1 micras en tamano seadsorben sobre el filtro modificado con carga químicamente. El filtro es efectivo para remover el vibrión de cólera.
