Abstract
Se desea eliminar el arrastre de escoria en un convertidor (1) en cuyo pasaje de colada (4) está dispuesto un elemento de cierre, particularmente unaválvula de compuerta deslizante (6). Para este propósito se construyó una artesa deentrad a (9) en el pasaje de colada (4). La sección transversal (4)de la artesa es mayor que la sección transversal de flujo (b) del pasaje de colada (4) y substancialmente menor que la sección transversal (c) delconvertidor (1). En la posiciónde colad a del convertidor (1), la artesa de entrada (9) define un espacio de depósito por encima del elemento de cierre(6)
