Abstract

Consiste en la utilización del rt-PA para la prevención de la fibrosis de la pared posterior de la cápsula, conocida como catarata secundarias, despuésde la extracción extracapsular de cataratas. Con la reducción de la fibrosis va unida una mejora de la capacidad de visión. Se propone también lautilización de rt-PA para la preparación de un medicamento para la prevención de cataratas secundarias, siendo el campo de aplicación la cirugíaoftalmológica y más específicamente el período postoperatorio a la extracción de cataratas.It consists of the use of rt-PA for the prevention of fibrosis of the posterior wall of the capsule, known as secondary cataracts, after extracapsular extraction of cataracts.
