Abstract
Se describe una válvula de restricción de área variable que se usa preferentemente en un motor de turbina para producir una compensación mejoradaentre la presión requerida para el enfriamiento de la superficie aerodinámica y la presión encierto modo baja requerida para suministrar aire a los cierresintermedios y las cavidades de disco. En una realización preferida, la válvula de la presente invención comprende una válvula polarizada a resorte con un áreade flujo mínimo fija que se controla prefijando una dimensión mínima para la abertura entre una boca de entrada y la caja o cuerpo de la válvula. Un resorteprecargado mantiene la elevación en esta dimensión mínima hasta que la caída de presión a través del área de flujo excede un determinado valor. Por encima deesta caída de presión crítica, la válvula se eleva, provocando el aumento del área de flujo, y reduciendo de esa manera el suministro de presión que de locontrario sería necesario para obtener un flujo en la cavidad de disco adecuado para mantener las temperaturas dentro de las especificaciones.
