Abstract

Se describe una composición en gel o barra, la cual puede ser transparente o traslúcida, para combatir el mal olor del cuerpo (por ejemplo una composiciónantitranspirante), y el método para fabricarla. La composición contiene un material activoantitranspirante (por ejemplo una sal de metal activoantitranspirante, tal como clorohidrato de aluminio) y un agente de gelación de poliamida, y también contiene un sistema solvente para el material activoantitranspirante y poliamida, el cual disuelve el agente de gelación y desde el cual puede gelificarse el agente de gelación. El sistema solvente es libre deglicol, e incluye un surfactante no iónico (por ejemplo laureth-4), y un solvente polar (incluyendo agua). El uso del sistema desolvente libre deglicol logra una composición gelificada que tiene niveles reducidos de pegajosidad (está sustancialmente libre de pegajosidad) y tiene propiedadescosméticamente aceptables. La composición puede además incluir una cera opaca(por ejemplo alcohol estearílico), especialmente en donde la composiciónincluye cantidades relativamente pequenas de agente de gelación de poliamida, para proporcionar una estructura adicional y mejorar la disolución del agentede gelación de poliamida, mientras que se logra una composición traslúcida la cual produce una película ópticamente transparente cuando se aplica a la piel.La composición que contiene el surfactante no iónico y la cera opaca puede ser procesada, para formar la composición gelificada, a temperaturas relativamentebajas (de 82, 22° C a 85°C).
