Abstract

Se presenta un reactor biológico para la producción contínua de productos naturales de interés y aplicación comercial que comprende: A) el disenoconceptual de un reactor biológico de tipo columna con flujo pistón y múltiples lechos inmovilizados, con elevadas densidades celulares compatibles con laoperación a altos valores de velocidades de dilución, manteniendo en lo posible una hidrodinámica de flujo en pistón. B) El diseno físico y dimensional oconfiguración del mencionado biorreactor, basado en una forma geométrica tubular, tipo columna (relación longitud/diámetro 5:1), cuyo interior estácompuesto de múltiples platos empleados como soporte de partículas biológicas. C) La distribución espacial de las partículas, la cual es compartimentada demanera uniforme entre los múltiples platos de soporte, incluyendo en cada compartimiento suficiente espacio libre de partículas como para permitir laevolución y desprendimiento de los gases generados durante la síntesis biológica. D) La operación contínua de la reacción biológica de manera tal quese obtenga una corriente de salida conteniendo el o los productos de interés, constante durante el período de viabilidad de las partículas con actividadbiológica.A biological reactor for the continuous production of natural products of interest and commercial application is presented, comprising: A) the conceptual design of a biological reactor of the column type with piston flow and multiple immobilized beds, with high cell densities compatible with operation at high values of dilution speeds, maintaining a piston flow hydrodynamic as much as possible.
