Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling uplink transmission power in a wireless communication system. The present invention sets forth a method for controlling uplink transmission power, comprising the steps of: receiving setup information which indicates transmission power of a reference signal from a transmission and reception point; receiving the reference signal from the transmission and reception point; calculating an RSRP using the received reference signal; calculating a predicted path attenuation value for a link between the transmission and reception point and the terminal on the basis of the transmission power of the reference signal and the RSRP; and calculating uplink transmission power for the transmission and reception point on the basis of the predicted path attenuation value. When a terminal performs an uplink transmission to a plurality of transmission and reception points using the same physical cell ID, a predicted path attenuation value with each transmission and reception point can be identified so that an efficient uplink power control is possible.
