Abstract

The invention relates to devices for converting infrared images into an electric television signal, and can be used in surveillance systems, in fire detection, in industrial monitoring for medical diagnosis, and for vision in insufficient lighting conditions. The purpose of the invention is to provide a thermal imager having high exploitation characteristics, based on a domestic infrared-image receiver on an infrared-image raster receiver with internal amplification on a pyroelectric member. In order to achieve this purpose, an existing infrared-image raster receiver with internal amplification comprises a mesh electrode arranged between the anode and the focusing electrode. This electrode comprises a curved structure with a variable radius of curvature and is made of a fine-structure mesh. The potential of the electrode is either equal to that of the anode or different therefrom. The use of the mesh electrode makes it possible to obtain a high spatial resolution on the peripheral sections of the image. A video signal processing unit is used for the non-linear filtration and inter-frame processing of the video signal in order to increase the signal/noise ratio.
