Abstract

A digital tasbih ring which equipped with ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) (1) and rotary clip (swivel system) (2), can be put on user's hand finger and able to rotate as user' s wish, has a screen (3), a flashlight (4) with a main menu button (10). Below of casing has main buttons, i.e. halt button (5), set button (6), minute/day adjustment button (7), hour/month adjustment button (8), and reset button (9). Upside of casing has, begins from front side, earphone output jack (12), button for MP3 audio such as volume+ button (16), volume-button (17), Rwd button (18), and Fwd button (19). ON/OFF button (20) and play/pause button (21) of which each individually to function as button for turning on/off MP3 system and operating such MP3. A compass (13) functions to show east, west, north, south, and even qiblat direction, and tasbih button (14) functions to count dzikir, which is ready to count every 33-times or 100-times.

Technical Field

Current invention relates with an bead necklace (Arabic: tasbih) apparatus in purpose of religious praying to Moslem' s God, especially a digital tasbih ring which has some utilities to help daily activities, part of this tasbih is equipped with several features such as a tasbih counter, an indicator function for every-33 or every-100 times count during contemplation (Arabic: dzikir) and 5-times praying

(Arabic: shalat) reminder alarm, a praying-steps (Arabic: rakaat) counter at fasting month (Arabic: ramadhan) praying (Arabic: tarawih) and a counter for more detail praying activities (e.g., Arabic: wirit) , a compass and Makkah-course (Arabic: qiblat) , digital clock which indicate day, stopwatch function, display automatic watch, flashlight function, and audio function as earphone for MP-3.

Background of Invention

Tasbih is often needed and used as a utility counter for special religious activities during certain times. Starting from that idea, the inventor makes a study that is to enhance the tasbih utilization for the individuals who always use and carry around the tasbih.

As such purpose, the inventor wants to improve the tasbih utilization with some extended features, which are:

1. equipped with ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) ;

2. equipped with rotary clip (swivel system);

3. equipped with mini screen; 4. equipped with flashlight;

5. equipped with halt button;

6. equipped with set button;

7. equipped with minute/day adjustment; 8. equipped with hour/month adjustment;

9. equipped with reset button;

10. equipped with menu (mode) button;

11. equipped with ON/OFF switch (rotated system);

12. equipped with output-jack for earphone; 13. equipped with compass to show direction;

14. equipped with counter button;

15. equipped with 4-wind direction;

16. equipped with volume+ (MP3) ;

17. equipped with volume- (MP3) ; 18. equipped with Rwd button (MP3) ;

19. equipped with Fwd button (MP3) ;

20. equipped with ON/OFF switch (MP3) ;

21. equipped with Play/Pause button (MP3) ; • this tasbih uses 2 batteries as power source; • this tasbih is greatly useful for Moslems, because it helps to ease in performing religious activities to God.

Prior art of Indonesia utility model which filed at 22^nd September 2004 by IWAN SAPUTRO titled "SAJADAH ELEKTRONIK" or electronic praying mat with registration number S-00200400139 and still within substantive examination, reveals about electronic praying mat which has two main component, i.e. electronic panel with dimension of 31 cm length, 8 cm width, and 4 cm height. Said electronic panel made of aluminum plate with trapezium-shaped bar and 31 cm length. Upper side has one ON/OFF switch (11) , two buttons of reset function, and counter switch, one sliding switch of counting mode determination (option: tasbih or shalat) , and one display with 7 segments on each switch and marked both edge of said, panel thus covered by a black foam; This black foam is ready to be opened and closed by bare hand. The open edge functions to access to electronic components inside. The sharp surface is covered by a rubber. Inside of panel there is electronic board (PCB/Printed Circuit Board) where electronic circuit installed.

National phase PCT application with number W00200202178, international filing date 19^th February 2001, published at 28^th November 2002 by AKZO NOBEL N. V. titled "PENGHITUNG WAKTU ALARM ELEKTRONIK UNTUK DIGUNAKAN DENGAN SUATU REGIMEN PENGOBATAN" or electronic alarm counter for using with medicament regiment.

Summary of Invention

Refers to said matters above and provides advance and more perfect product, this invention emerged to serve various functions and provide better result and more effective tool for religious praying or daily activities.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which is easier to use and better due to ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) with rotary clip

(swivel system) and when in use can be worn onto the hand finger, and rotate freely by user. The invention is small in dimension, practical, and hidden amongst fingers.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has a screen to visual and remind user about praying on time so that user is never be late to pray.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has a small flashlight, to help visibility at certain occasion by providing ON/OFF switch on invention surface with rotary manner, especially to read Holy Book - Quran at night.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has main menu button to program according to user's wish.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has a MP3 program with music audio device/reminder tone for usage in a crowded place or even during a break. As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has an earphone output jack to deploy to ear of user.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has time adjustments (timer) or set program for adjusting praying time or appropriate day. The said timer functions as personal tone reminder for those individuals who have busy activities or perform dzikir activities of said tasbih. Thus users have a personal tone reminder that is very helpful. As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus that has minute and day adjustment or hour and month adjustment to show current time. Thus users have time device during their activities, during their trips, or even during inactive occasions. As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has praying time reminder, so that the user is notified to pray when the praying time is due.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has a compass utility to show direction and Makkah-course . Thus user can find easily the correct direction wherever place.

As another expectation of current invention is to provide a tasbih apparatus which has tasbih button (counter switch) as counting tool that can be seen on the screen. When the said tasbih is being used, not only it functions to count dzikir times but also to count wirit and rakaat times, especially during tarawih which has many steps of praying.

Summary of Drawing

Figure 1 shows a tasbih apparatus/digital tasbih ring according to current invention with whole parts desired function.

Figure 2 shows details of rotary clip (swivel system) which detachable to ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) , so that rotary clip can directly attachable to user hand finger's ring.

Detail Description

Refers to invention figures (see figure 1-2) , they consist of ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) (1) which easily can be worn on to the hand finger, and placed on rotary clip

(swivel system) (2) . Rotary clip (swivel system) (2) can be turned to user's wish. When someone wants to wear directly on to his/her ring, ring clip hand (ring/O-ring)

(1) is released from rotary clip (2), thus rotary clip (2) is connected directly to user' s ring by sliding (push/slide) so that is locked (locking system) . Rotary clip (swivel system) (2) bond to casing of tasbih, meanwhile ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) (1) is helix formed which diameter adjustable to user hand finger's size. At the middle of tasbih casing posed a digital screen (3) which the screen functions as on-going system indicator.

At corner backside, posed a flashlight (4) which is useful to brighten in darkness. This part has a locking and opening thread to replace batteries.

Below of such casing has main buttons , i . e . halt button

(5), set button (6), minute/day adjusting button (7), hour/month adjusting button (8), reset button (9), and menu

(mode) button (10) . Halt button (5) functions to hold/stop, mainly for stopwatch, while set button (6) functions to set/select menu, choice of user about invention settings.

Behind of casing placed turn able ON/OFF button (11) , which functions to turn flashlight on or off.

Still, on upside of casing and begins from front side, which has earphone output jack (12) to connect to a speaker, volume+ button (16) and volume- button (17) which each functions to heighten or lower MP3 sound volume. Rwd button (18) and Fwd button (19) which each functions MP3 audio play direction into forward or backward, e.g. during listening a music play or Quran. ON/OFF button (20) and play/pause button (21) which each functions to operate/stop MP3 system and to run such MP3. Tasbih button (14) functions as dzikir counter, which said tasbih is able to count for every 33-times or 100-times. During said activity, tasbih not only to count dzikir but also wirit or even tarawih praying steps (rakaat) which has a lot. Still on casing, a part functions as compass (13) to show east, west, north, south, or even qiblat direction. This part also functions as cover with locking-opening thread to replace batteries. On most front side has a star-shaped apparatus with 4-directions to show east, west, north, south, or even qiblat course according to determined degree for certain city or country as printed on available enclosure .

Prior explanation of current invention has been described for purpose of illustration and information. Of course, in this art, it must be understand that illustration does not limit for variation. Consequently, every variations and modifications by people of the art shall be deemed inside of current invention as following claims .

Claims

1. a said digital tasbih ring used as tasbih and wore on hand finger, consists of: ring clip hand (ring/O-ring)

(1) which posed on rotary clip (swivel system) (2), a screen (3), a flashlight (4), main menu button (10), which is characterized as such digital tasbih ring has tasbih button (14) to count dzikir during religious praying.

2. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1, which is characterized as tasbih button (14) also functions to count rakaat during tarawih praying at bow from kneeling (Arabic: sujud) session.

3. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1-2, which is characterized as tasbih button (14) also functions to count wirit.

4. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1-3, which is characterized as ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) (1) and rotary clip (swivel system) (2) are able to rotate on casing, and able to set to fixed condition, while ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) (1) is helix shaped to adjust diameter according to user hand finger's size.

5. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1-4, which is characterized as rotary clip (swivel system) (2) can be connected directly to user' s ring by first releasing ring clip hand (ring/O-ring) (1) , then rotary clip (2) is put on to the user's ring by sliding (push/slide) so that is locked (locking system) .

6. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1-5, which is characterized as utilization of volume+ button (16) , volume- button (17), Fwd button (19), ON/OFF button (20) , and play/pause button (21) , which each is to activate MP3 during listening to said MP3 sound.

7. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1-6, which is characterized as utilization of earphone output jack (12) to capture the sound through earphone.

8. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on claim 1-7, which is characterized as a set button (6) .

9. a digital tasbih ring as claimed on prior claims, which is characterized as a minute/day adjustment button (7) .
