Il est à remarquer que ce dispositif est également muni d'une languette prédécoupée permettant le retrait de ladite bande, notamment afin de procéder au remplacement du sac collecteur. Un tel dispositif ne permet cependant pas d' éviter totalement la déconnexion des deux embouts emboîtés, par force, l'un dans l'autre. En effet, il est toujours possible qu'une telle déconnexion se produise de manière intentionnelle ou accidentelle. Dans un pareil cas, l'infirmière, notamment si elle n'est pas consciente ou si elle est mal informée de la conséquence de ces actes , est parfois amenée à reconnecter les deux mêmes embouts , voire même à remplacer la bague de serrage sans précautions particulières et sans qu'il ne soit possible de savoir, à posteriori, si il y a eu déconnexion ou non.
