The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent `and making part of the same.

Be itkn'own that I,4 GEORGE Weens, of Oambridge, in the county of'MiddleseX and State of Massachusetts, hare invented aninnilroved Design i'or Parlor-Organs; and I do hereby declare that the foilowing7 taken in connection with the drawings which accompany and forni part of this speciiioation, is a description of my invention sufficient to enable those skilled in the art to practice it.

My design relates particularly to the ornamental finish of the front-s of that class oi' reed-musical instruments known as parlor and cabinet-organs.

These fronts are generally made with vertical pillars and panels, more or less configurated or ornamented, and my improvement or design consists in adding to the at faces of the panels or pillars medallions or tablets, having in relief or embossed upon them heads or busts. l

To these instruments I apply the name medallion or medallion-style.

The addition of the medallion imparts a fine finish to an organ, as will be seen by the accompanying 'Ille medallion design for the front of a parlor or eabinet-organ, substantially as shown and described.
