To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, UATllAltlNE A. Unis WOLI), of the city of New York, county and State of New York, and a citizen of the United States, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Ornalnentation of Corsets, of which the following is a full, clear, and exactdeseription, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part of this specification.

The single figure in the drawing represents in side elevai ion a corset embodying my new design.

lhe leading and special feature of my design consists in a series of ornamental bands or stripes on the outward face of the corset, extending along and over said surface from the lower edge of the corset, one on the front, hip portion or side, and rear, respectively. each with a curve toward the waist-line, and with both ends of each hand or stripe termt nating at said lower edge of the corset.

A is a corset, which may he in the usual and ordinary general form shown.

B B B represent ornamental hands or stripes, in a series, on the outward face of the corset, extending along and over said surface, each having a curve from the lower edge of the corset toward the waist line, and with both ends of each band or stripe terminating at said lower edge of the corset. The several curved bands or stripes thus arranged, as de scribed and shown, overlie the lower front, the hip portion, and lower back of the corset, and the apices of the hands are located at or about the waist-line. I show three bands or stripes as constituting the series; bntthenumher may be increased, and the apex of each may be located somewhat above or below the waist-line, without departing from the essential feature of my design.

\Vhat I claim is The design forthe ornamentation of a corset herein shown and described, the same consisting of the corset A, having a series of orna' mental hands or stripes, B 13 B, extending ()\Clfll1ll upon the outward face of the corset on the front, hip portion, and rear, respectively, thereof from its lower edge, each having a curve toward the waist-lini'r, and with both extremities of each hand or stripe terminating at said lower edge of the corset.
