SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,830, dated April 3, 1883. Application tiled November 22, 1882. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that; I, JAMES M. CONNER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original De 5 sign for a Fontof Printing-Type, of which the following is a specification.

The nature of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying typographie impression, to which reference is made; and it consists of a 1o light-face inclined letter ornamented hya light curved line curving to the left and extending below the line. In many of the letters these ornamental curved lines-as in the B, C,

. G, P, R, and S-extend from the upper right- I 5 hand portion of the letters; in others-as in the A, E, F, H, I, J, K, L, M,N,O, Q,U,and W- from about the center of theletter, and in the T, V, X, Y, Z, and symbol & from the base of the letter downward.

The character of' the design is preserved in eo the numerals and lower-case, s" "e that the ornamental curved line is omitted.
