6 and 7 and tabs 8 and 9 are folded in the manner set forth, the closure 2 is in bag sealing position, and it is secured in this position by means which comprise a headed'bolt 21 and a lock 22. The bolt 21 passes through the eyelets 15 to 20;with its head 21 in contact with the outer side of the eyelet 21 and with its apertured end 21 extending beyond the eyelet 16. The lock 22 is engaged with the bolt 21 by having its shackle 22 passed through the opening 21 of the bolt.

After the money has been placed in the bag, the

6 and 7 are moved into contact with each other, and the contacting flaps are then .folded upon the front side 4 of the mouth 4, and thereafter the tabs 8 and 9 are folded against the rear side 4 of the mouth with their'free ends in overlapped relation.

The shackle of the lock 22 is then passed through the opening 21F-of the bolt 21, and thereafter the shackle is swung into closed position. a a When the closure 2 is in bag sealing position, the upper edge and the upper corners of the mouth 4 are so effectively sealed as to provide a recpositivelyprevent the loss or extraction of 7 bank, it being understood that a chute of this type is accessible for the deposit of money after banking hours and from a point outside of the bank, and that on the opening of the bank, the depositor is handed the bag which is opened in the presence of the receivingteller. i

Small size bags have each of the

6 and 7 and in each of the tabs 8 and 9 depending solely upon the size of the bag.

As the reinforcing bars14are relat1ve yspaced and as the spaces between the, reinforcing bars are in registration when the closure is in bag sealing position, the closed mouth of the bag may be folded along lines intersecting the registering spaces between the reinforcing bars and particularly along the line intersecting those registering spaces that are located at the transverse center of the mouth, and due thereto the closed mouth isof such flexibility that it will not tend'to bind in the deposit chute leading to the safe.

While I have described the principle of the invention, together with the structure which I now consider the preferred embodiment thereof, it is to be understood that the structure shown ismerely illustrative and that such changes may be made, when desired, as fall within theiscope of-theinvention'as claimed. 7 a

I claim v 1. A bag having thefront and rear lsides thereof provided with registering openings, a closure flap attached to said front side and folded downwardly against said side, a second closure flap attached to said rear side and attached at its ends to the ends of said first closure flap and folded downwardly over said first closure flap, said closure flaps being provided with openings registering with said first openings, tabs extending from the ends of said second closure flap and folded against said rear side with their free ends arranged in overlapped relation and provided with openings registering with said other openings, and locking'means including a retaining member passing through the openings.

2. A bag having the front and rear sides thereof provided with registering openings, a closure flap attached to said front side and folded downwardly against said side, a second closure flap attached to said rear side and attached at its ends to the ends of said first closure flap and folded downwardly over said first closure flap, said closure flaps being provided with openings registering with said first openings, tabs extending from the ends of said second closure flap and folded against said rear side with their free ends arranged in overlapped relation and provided with openings registering with said other openings, reinforcing bars carried by each closure flap at opposite sides of the opening thereof, a reinforcing bar carried by each tab between the opening therein and said second closure flap, and locking means embody- I i ing a retaining member passingv through the openings.
