IMPRO'VED LANDING-NET FOR ANGLERS.

Specication forming part of Letters Patent N. 0,7913, dated April 18, 1854.

To'all whom it may concern:

Beit known that I, CHARLES DE SAXE, of the cityand county and State of New York, have invented a new-and useful Improvement in the Construction of Landing-Nets for Fishing` and I do hereby declare that the following is' a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters lof reference marked thereon. The nature of my invention consists in so making the hoop or mouth. of the netwith proper and convenient joints or hinges that this hoop may be folded up in a small compass,'and thus rendered much more convenientand less cumbersome, While at the saine time its strength is 'not diminished nor its usefulness impaired. y To lenable others to make 'and use my invention, I will describe its construction and operation A,

when the netis made ready for use the slide is moved up the stai?, hy which movement the net is expanded to its full size and there .firmly retained by the spring; o, which prei vents the slide from moving` back, except at `the pleasure ofthe angler. l represen-0s marked 1,2 3 4, and therefore I do not claim anything novel in this respect; but when so constructed the hoop required to he detached from the stad when folded up andthen attached when it was to be used.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to. secure by Letters Patent, is-
