Abstract
A sleepiness prevention apparatus and a method thereof are disclosed. The apparatus for preventing drowsiness according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a carbon dioxide measuring unit for measuring a carbon dioxide concentration within a predetermined radius, a warning event generating unit for generating a predetermined event when the measured concentration of carbon dioxide is equal to or greater than a preset concentration, A data transmitting / receiving unit for transmitting the measured carbon dioxide concentration information to the external terminal and receiving corresponding information from the external terminal, and a sensitivity controller for setting the carbon dioxide concentration measurement sensitivity.
Description

Accordingly, there has been disclosed a vehicle drowsiness prevention apparatus (Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2009-0007415) which senses the concentration of carbon dioxide to prevent drowsiness of a vehicle, but the conventional technology detects the concentration of carbon dioxide Such as injecting a small amount of liquid into the mouth, resulting in an effective measure for preventing drowsiness.
Therefore, there is a need for studies on a drowsiness prevention apparatus and method for detecting the concentration of carbon dioxide and generating an event corresponding thereto to provide an effective preventive measure for preventing drowsiness.
The present invention relates to a drowsiness prevention apparatus which measures a carbon dioxide concentration and generates a corresponding event, and receives a countermeasure from an external terminal, thereby providing a measure to prevent drowsiness according to various methods of a social network in a drowsiness situation Provide the method.
