- 배터리-동작되는 이동국으로서,데이터를 송,수신하는 송수신기 회로;상기 이동국으로부터 전송되고 이에 의해 수신되는 현재 데이터 레벨을 포함하는 상기 이동국의 동작에 관한 하나 이상의 조건을 검출하도록 구성되는 검출기; 및,상기 이동국이 상기 검출된 하나 이상의 조건을 토대로 보다 낮은 전력 모드를 자동적으로 벗어나서 보다 높은 전력 모드로 될 때 사이클을 설정하도록 이용되는 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터를 결정하도록 구성되며,상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 결정된 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터에 따라서 송수신 회로를 동작하도록 구성되는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 66 항에 있어서,상기 검출기는 하나 이상의 조건의 변경을 검출하고 상기 검출된 변경에 응답하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터의 값을 가변시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 66 항에 있어서,상기 이동국은 복수의 활동도 레벨로 동작할 수 있으며, 상기 검출기는 상기 복수의 활동도 레벨중 한 레벨에서의 동작으로부터 상기 또 다른 복수의 활동도 레벨에서의 동작으로 변경하는 이동국을 검출하도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 68 항에 있어서,상이한 절차들은 상기 활동도 레벨 각각을 위하여 상기 이동국을 탐색하도록 이용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 68 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 조건은 상기 이동국의 현재 활동도 레벨을 포함하여, 보다 높은 현재 활동도에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 증가시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되거나, 보다 낮은 현재 활동도에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 감소시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 68 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 조건은 상기 이동국에 의해 현재 요청되거나 가입되는 서비스를 포함하여, 보다 낮은 지연을 필요로 하는 현재 서비스에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 증가시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되거나, 보다 높은 지연을 허용하는 현재 서비스에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 감소시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 66 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 조건은 상기 이동국의 사용자로부터의 지연 입력을 포함하여, 보다 낮은 지연에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 증가시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되거나, 보다 높은 지연에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 감소시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 66 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 조건은 상기 이동국의 사용자로부터의 전력 절약 입력을 포함하여, 보다 큰 전력 절약에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 감소시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되거나, 감소된 호출 설정 지연에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국을 웨이크 업시키는 주파수를 증가시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 66 항에 있어서,상기 하나 이상의 조건은 상기 이동국에 현재 전력을 공급하는 전원 유형을 포함하여, 보다 짧은 수명을 갖는 전원에 대해서, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 사이클을 증가시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되고, 보다 긴 수명을 갖는 전원에 대해서, 상기 사이클 제어기는 상기 사이클을 감소시키기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터 값을 가변시키도록 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 66 항에 있어서,상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 S = 2n을 계산하기 위하여 상기 가변 웨이크 업 사이클 파라미터(n)를 이용하도록 구성되는데, 여기서 S는 상기 이동국이 보다 낮은 전력 모드에 있을 때 가변 슬립 사이클의 지속기간이고 n은 정수인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 75 항에 있어서,n은 2의 거듭제곱인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 76 항에 있어서,상기 이동국은 M 프레임의 반복 시퀀스로 분할되는 통신 채널을 이용하여 네트워크와 통신하고, n = 0, 1, 2,..., 2 log M이고, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국이 W = (kS) modulo M에 따라서 보다 높은 전력 모드로 될 때 웨이크 업 프레임(W)을 결정하도록 구성되며, 여기서 k는 정수인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
- 제 76 항에 있어서,상기 이동국은 M 프레임의 반복 시퀀스로 분할되는 통신 채널을 이용하여 네트워크와 통신하고, n = 0, 1, 2,..., 2 log M이고, 상기 슬립 사이클 제어기는 상기 이동국이 W = (F + kS) modulo M에 따라서 보다 높은 전력 모드로 될 때 웨이크 업 프레임(W)을 결정하도록 구성되며, 여기서 F는 상기 이동국과 관계된 식별자를 토대로 선택된 통신 채널의 프레임 수인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리-동작되는 이동국.
