Abstract

PURPOSE: A method for controlling shift of an automatic transmission is provided to improve acceleration performance and to improve response of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A shift controller of an automatic transmission comprises a vehicle traveling state sensing unit(10) outputting an electric signal according to a travelling state of the vehicle; a throttle valve opening sensing unit(11) outputting a specific signal by detecting opening degree of the throttle valve according to movement of an accelerator pedal; a vehicle speed sensing unit(12) outputting a signal corresponding to traveling speed by detecting RPM(Revolution Per Minute) of an output shaft; a shift stage sensing unit(13) outputting a signal by detecting changed state of the shift stage; a turbine RPM sensing unit(14) detecting a rotational speed of torque shaft of a torque converter connected to an input shaft of a transmission; an engine RPM sensing unit(15) outputting a signal by detecting rotational speed of a crank shaft; and a TCU(Transmission Control Unit)(20) outputting a duty control signal.
