[Detailed Description of the Invention] [1] Technical Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an improved device for identifying the traveling direction of a vehicle such as a bus traveling along a predetermined route. A trigger signal is sent alternately to paired antennas on the road (8), and the traveling direction of the vehicle is determined from the number of the received antenna, the reception order, and the arrangement of antennas on the vehicle travel route stored in the central operation control unit. It is something that identifies.

[2] Background technology A plurality of pole-mounted antennas are arranged in a predetermined order in the direction of vehicle travel on a vehicle travel path, and vehicle direction information is transmitted by switching these antennas and communicating between the vehicle and a ground station. Communication devices that capture information are well known. For example, JP-A-5
In the invention of No. 6-16464.1, a trigger signal is transmitted from a roadside transceiver to a vehicle intermittently and by sequentially switching transmission antennas. When the vehicle enters the communication area with the road antenna and receives the trigger signal, the signal transmitter/receiver mounted on the vehicle responds to the road antenna and starts communication. After communication is completed, the on-vehicle reception will be locked and no trigger signals will be accepted from the on-road transmitter/receiver! It has been pierced.

In this way, for example, if the antenna number that intersects with the antenna in FIG. 1 is 1 or 8, then 11. The moving direction of the vehicle is a, and conversely, if it is 2 or 4, it can be seen that the vehicle is moving in the direction a.

[8] Problems with the prior art According to the prior art described above, there is no problem in identifying the direction of travel of the vehicle when the vehicle is traveling normally by sequentially communicating with roadside transceivers along a predetermined traveling route. , when the direction of travel of the vehicle changes frequently, and the distance between paired antennas belonging to the same roadside transceiver is short and the communication area overlaps, such as when changing direction in a bus depot area, or when paired antennas belong to the same roadside transmitter/receiver. J: The vehicle changes direction and runs in the opposite direction at the halfway point.
The disadvantage is that it is difficult to distinguish between normal driving and normal driving.

[4.] Purpose of the Invention The purpose of the present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art described above, and to make it possible to identify the direction in which a vehicle is traveling even when the arrangement of roadside transceivers and the order of communication with onboard equipment do not match. This device provides a device that prevents vehicles from changing direction in areas under heavy pressure where the spacing between the two antennas is very short due to space constraints.
5 (this is particularly effective when a vehicle is present in the communication area with both antennas).

[5] Configuration of the Invention The configuration of the present invention will be explained using FIG. 2. A mobile station, such as a bus, is equipped with a receiving and transmitting antenna and a wireless transmitter/receiver. In contrast, a roadside transmitter/receiver (roadside device) connected to the central operation control unit by a communication line, and a roadside antenna that transmits trigger signals from the roadside device to the mobile station or receives signals from the mobile station are fixed on the ground. Configure the station.

The roadside antennas are arranged in one or more pairs along the vehicle travel path, and when the roadside device transmits a trigger signal to the vehicle by alternately using the roadside antennas, a response is made and the vehicle moves. Communication begins between the station and the ground station. At this time, the traveling direction of the vehicle can be identified by identifying the numbers of the communicating mobile station and roadside antenna, and comparing the identification results with a solid device that has previously stored the positions of the roadside device and roadside antenna on the vehicle's travel route. can.

In the present invention, when identifying the traveling direction of a specific vehicle in the above configuration, the mobile station side can respond by responding only once from the roadside device to signals from the same vehicle that are responded to via the same antenna. In addition to reducing the signal processing load, the on-vehicle transceiver is locked after responding once to a signal transmitted from the same on-road antenna, but after a certain period of time or when the on-vehicle receiver responds to the same on-road antenna. When a trigger signal is received via another connected roadside antenna, it is configured to be able to communicate again with the same roadside transceiver.

Next, the procedure for communicating between a moving vehicle and a station on the ground will be explained. The road a5 transmits a trigger signal by alternately switching the antennas 6 and 7 at a frequency of, for example, 50 times per second. When the vehicle enters an area where it can communicate with the vehicle via the antenna, and the on-vehicle device 2 receives a trigger signal from the antenna 6, for example, communication is started. When the on-vehicle device 2 completes communication, the on-vehicle reception is locked only to the antenna 6, and the trigger signal sent from the antenna is no longer accepted. Next, the vehicle advances and the on-board aircraft 2 connects to the road antenna 7.
When a trigger signal is received through the antenna, it is locked to the antenna, as in the case of the antenna 6, and at the same time,
The locking mechanism for the antenna 6 is configured to be released.

If the communication areas of the on-road antenna 6 and the adjacent antenna 7 do not overlap as described in item 1 above, it is sufficient to lock the reception of the onboard unit to each on-road antenna. When a vehicle enters a point where the communication areas of Received. However, even in such a case, the above-mentioned lock function only works for one antenna for one roadside vehicle, and all trigger signals with different antenna numbers are In response to the trigger signal, the onboard device [receives] -

In the present invention, in response to the above-mentioned response from Todai,
On the roadside transmitter/receiver side, the ``previously communicated in-vehicle device number'' for each antenna is extracted from the response signal of the vehicle and stored.
From the contents of the on-vehicle response signal, the same on-vehicle response after the second reception is ignored for each on-road antenna, and the on-vehicle response to the response is not transmitted to the on-vehicle, but the central control The same shall be applied to device 9.

All of the above-mentioned communications are performed by program commands from the central controller 9. The result of the above communication is recorded and outputted to the output device 10, and data is supplied to other control systems via the communication line 11, for example, to control lamps for bus priority signal control or to bus stops. The bus is displayed on the display system along with the entry time of the bus and display information related to the bus, such as bus number, bus passing time, bus system, etc.

[7] Effects of the Invention The present invention provides a bus garage where the direction of the vehicle is frequently changed when identifying the traveling direction of the vehicle based on the array and identification number of the roadside antennas through which the vehicle communicates and the order in which the vehicle passes. It is also effective even when driving indoors, etc., and since the spacing between paired antennas is short, the direction of travel of the vehicle can be reliably identified even when the communication areas from the same on-vehicle unit overlap.
