For the production of printed circuits, etc., the photopolymerizable composition layer side of an image forming material consisting of a transparent support and a photopolymerizable composition layer deposited on the support on the surface of an image forming substrate. This photopolymerizable composition layer is imagewise exposed to light to form a cured area, and if necessary, the image forming material is heated, and then the support is peeled off from the substrate. Imaging means for forming an image-like resist thereon have already been devised.

On the other hand, various methods for peeling off image forming materials of the peel development type described above have also been proposed. As one method, for example, the method disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 48-58909 is to press a continuous adhesive tape onto a support of an exposed image forming material one after another and pull it apart. The tape and support are peeled off from the substrate as one unit. However, since this method uses an adhesive tape with a width larger than that of the substrate, it consumes a large amount of adhesive tape and has disadvantages such as being uneconomical.

In addition, as an alternative method to the above, for example,
There is one published in No. 26454. This method involves sequentially applying narrow adhesive tapes to both sides of the substrate and then pulling them apart, and is more economical than the previous method. However, although this method is effective for peeling off films with low adhesive strength, such as protective films for photosensitive films, which is the main purpose of this method, it is difficult to peel off films with low adhesive strength, such as protective films for photosensitive films, which is the main purpose of this method. When trying to peel off something with a strong adhesive strength, there will be a gap in the peeling between both sides with adhesive tape and the central part where no adhesive tape is applied, resulting in irregular peeling speeds in the central part, resulting in a sharp and sharp surface. There are drawbacks such as the inability to obtain a peel-developed image.

Furthermore, unlike the above two, a peelable end piece protruding from the substrate is provided at one end of the film-like support on the substrate.
A method has been devised in which the support is provided as a so-called ear tape and the support is continuously peeled off from the peelable end piece by pulling the peelable end piece. This method requires a step to prepare a peeling edge in advance before peeling and development, which not only increases the number of work steps, but also makes it difficult to mechanically hold the peeling edge securely, resulting in failure to peel. There were also drawbacks.

The present invention proposes a method that does not require the step of forming a peelable end piece, that is, a method in which a continuous adhesive tape is sequentially attached to a support on a substrate and peeled off, and the adhesive tape is used to peel off the support from a corner portion of the support. It is an object of the present invention to provide a peeling development method that allows the use of intermediate adhesive tapes and easily obtains clear images at a uniform peeling speed by starting peeling.

以下、この発明の一実施例を図面にしたがって説明する
An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 shows an example of a peeling developing device to which the peeling developing method according to the present invention is applied. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an adhesive tape, which is unwound from the roll of the supply roll 2 and wound onto the take-up roll 3 side.

4 is an image forming substrate; 5 is an image forming material layer adhered to the main surface of the substrate 4; a photopolymerizable composition layer 6; and a film-like transparent support supporting the photopolymerizable composition layer 6. Consists of 7. Reference numerals 8 and 9 are a pressure bonding/peeling roll and a nip roll, respectively, which are located between the supply roll 2 and the winding roll 3 and roll into contact with each other.

The substrate 4, on which the image forming material 5 has been laminated and exposed, is placed between the pressure bonding/peeling roll 8 and the nip roll 9 so that its corner 4a is in contact with the position where the adhesive tape 1 is set, as shown in FIG. When the adhesive tape 1 is inserted into the support body 7, the adhesive tape 1 is pasted on the support 7, and then the adhesive tape 1 is
together with the support 7 and the unexposed photopolymerizable composition layer 6a.
Force≦The substrate 4 starts to be peeled off from a part of the corner. The support 7 and the photopolymerizable composition layer 6 that have started to be peeled off are separated by the front pressure bonding/peeling roll 8 and the two-prong roll 9.
The film is sandwiched between the two and sequentially peeled off to complete the peeling development.

Here, since the continuous adhesive tape 1 is sequentially attached to the support 7 of the substrate 4 and the support 7 etc. are peeled off, the peeling can be done in one step of simply inserting the exposed substrate 4. Can be developed. Furthermore, since peeling starts from the corner and is simultaneously held between the pressure bonding/peeling roll 8 and the nip roll 9 to progress the peeling, a narrow adhesive tape can be used, and peeling development can be carried out economically and there is no misalignment in the peeled area. The fear that this may occur is also eliminated.

The width of the adhesive tape used in this method is preferably about 20 to 50 tapes, but there is no need to be particular about this width. Further, in this example, the roll for pressing the tape and the roll for peeling the tape are used in common, but it is also possible to configure each roll independently.

As described above, the method of the present invention enables economical and rational peel-off development by peeling off the support of the image-forming material layer from a part of the corner of the substrate to which the image-forming material layer is adhered. This has the effect of not only being able to carry out the process, but also ensuring clear images.
