CONSTITUTION:At the switching time from the standard reproducing to the slow- motion reproducing, a switch 25 is switched manually, and after that, the synchronizing signal detected on a magnetic tape 5 is taken into a D-flip-flop 26, and the input of an AND circuit 27 becomes high-level. At this timing, the output of the AND circuit 27 becomes high-level, and a changeover switch 22 is driven to perform the slow-motion reproducing. Therefore, the noise band position at the first still picture reproducing time is driven into a vertical blanking time approximately, and thus, the occurrence of a noise band is prevented.
