Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of processing circuits and thus to simplify the constitution of a recorder, by distributing the analog signals to plural channels right before the supply of signals to a recording head when the analog signals are digitized and recorded on those channels. CONSTITUTION:An analog color video signal 11 receives an A/D conversion and then a preprocess for distribution of the signal data through a multiplexer 13. This output is fed to time axis compressing circuits 15AB and 14CD to receive the time axis compression with a prescribed ratio in preparation for the addition of an error correction code or the conversion of a data format. Then this signal is sent to error correcting encoders 16AB and 16CD as well as to recording processors 17AB and 17CD to receive a time-division process with each data sample and then to receive the addition of both the horizontal and vertical parity data plus the addition of the synchronous signal, discrimination signal and address signal respectively. Each of these signals are divided with every channel to be sent to heads 1A-1D via amplifiers 18A-18D.
