Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the emission of a false alarm by removing electric noise by making use of the multichromaticity of the frequency spectra of the acoustic signal by collision sound and the monochromaticity of the electric noise, in a loop parts detector used in a nuclear reactor. CONSTITUTION:The signal from an acceleration detector is amplified, and is inputted to BPFs 4, 6 of which the respective frequency components are 1kHz and 5kHz. The outputs of the BPFs 4, 6 are supplied via detecting circuits 5, 7 for obtaining envelope waveforms to comparators 8, 9 and a divider 10 respectively. The outputs of the comparators 8, 9 are passed to an OR circuit 12, by which the output is obtained in correspondence to either collision sound or electric noise is detected. A comparator 11 discriminates the set range of the output from the divider 10 and provides the output as colliding sound. The outputs of the comparators 11 and the circuit 12 are passed through an AND circuit 13, by which only the signal by the collision sound is detected.
