Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of transmitting signal lines, by executing delay addition by employing digital system for signal wave by a ultrasonic wave receiver. CONSTITUTION:A signal change-over switch 2, which is combined with ultrasonic wave oscillators 1(1)-1(n), ultrasonic wave transmitters 3(1)-3(5) and an ultrasonic wave receiver 4, is provided with input of a change-over signal 5 to control the switch. And the transmitters 3(1)-3(5) are provided with input of a control signal 8 to control transmission time delay. It is also provided with input of timing signals 6(1)-6(5) which are put out from a pulse generator 7. An ultrasonic wave signal 9 passes through an amplifier 10 and a gate setter 11, and a signal within a gate setting time range is made pass through an A-D converter 12 and put into an adding type memory 17. A synchronous signal 13 is put into the gate setter 11 from a timing signal controller 14 which puts out a control signal 8. The A-D converter 12, the timing signal controller 14, a change-over signal controller 15 and the adding type memory 17 are operated by command signals sent out from a computer 18.
