Abstract

PURPOSE:To accommodate a telephone set and a data terminal to a one subscriber terminal and to enable simultaneous usage, by providing a device which mixes and separates audio and data signals with a subscriber terminal and a main device, and audio and data switches with the main device respectively and independently. CONSTITUTION:To a subscriber terminal T1, a telephone set 2 and a data terminal 3 are accommodated via an interface device 4 including a signal mixing and separation circuit. A main device 1 is provided with an audio exchange switch 7, data exchange switch 8, and signal transmission/reception circuit 6 and signal mixing/ separation circuit 6 corresponding to lines. The signal 6 is connected to an audio exchange switch 7 and a data exchange switch 8, and audio and data are independently exchanged. Thus, for example, while subscriber terminals T1 and T2 are communicated in audio, the data communication between the subscriber terminals T1 and T3 can be made at the same time. The mixing of signals can be made by coding the audio and it is arranged serially with the data code.
