Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep the room temperature constant, to reduce the number of ON- OFF operations of a compressor and to run an air conditioner with the saved energy, by controlling the number of revolutions of a blower of an interior evaporator in accordance with room temperature.
CONSTITUTION: The refrigerant gas that has been compressd to a high temperature and a high pressure in the compressor 1 flows in a condenser 2 where it is condensed to a liquid refrigerant having a high temperature and a high pressure, is then passed to an expansion apparatus 4 where it is made into a mixed refrigerant of a low temperature and a low pressure, is then permitted to flow in the evaporator 5 where it is made to evaporate, and is again returned to the compressor 1, so that they form a refrigerant circuit. A temperature detector 7 is provided on the air suction side of the condenser 2, and a blower 6 and a temperature detector 8 are provided to the evaporator heat exchanger 5. Signals from the temperature detectors 7, 8 are sent to a controller 9 including a microcomputer, and according to the signal from the controller 9 the number of revolutions of the blower 6 for the evaporator is made continuously variable.
