Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable proper control in an air conditioner which contains an air mix damper by comparing objective position data of the damper with a reference to identify an operating point of a heater and by opening or closing a cooling water path according to the result. CONSTITUTION:When a micro-computer 17 gets operative, a room temperature Tr, an atmospheric temperature Tam and other information are sent to the computer via an AD converter 16 to calculate a required blast air temperature TAO and then an air mix damper opening Sw is computed. Based on the result, an opening is adjusted via an opening adjusting actuator 19. An actuator 24 receives an opening instruction for a hot water valve 22 in case of Sw>10% or a closing instruction in case of Sw<5%. Position of a damper 7 is controlled so as to maintain a room temperature according to environmental conditions or variation in capacity of a cooler or a heater. And at a position of the damper where a heater core 6 is nearly closed, the hot water valve 22 is closed, thereby radiating no excessive heat.
