Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption during a waiting state as to a moving body communication system which transmits a call signal including a start signal and control signal at constant intervals from a base station. CONSTITUTION:A radio signal inputted to receiving input terminal 17 of a receiver is detected by reception part 18 and led to start signal detector 19 and call signal detector 21 respectively. Start signal detector 19 detects start positions of respective words in the call signal sent from a base station periodically and control part 25 is informed of the detection of each start signal. On the basis of this information, control part 25 operates immediately timer 26 driven by quartz oscillator 27. The output of reception part 18, on the other hand, is supplied to signal detector 21 as well and when detector 21 judges that its own station is called, control part 25 enters into the operation of a connection with the base station while subordinate power switch 32 is closed.
