Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate insufficient conduction at the joint, and to suppress the discharging current by forming a conductive film for connecting an anode terminal to a bulb spacer of an electron gun, with sections having low and high resistance respectively. CONSTITUTION:A bulb spacer 39 of an electron gun 36 mounted in a neck 35 and an anode terminal 37 provided in a funnel 34 are conducted through a conductive film 38 formed on the inner walls of the funnel 34 and the neck 35, then a voltage higher than 20kV is applied on a grid 364. Here, the first portion 381 where the bulb spacer 39 is connected to the conductive film 38 and the third portion 383 including the anode terminal 37 have thick film to provide low resistance, while the second intermediate portion 382 has thin film to provide hifh resistance. Consequently, the current due to the discharge in the tube is reduced at the high resistance portion, while the conductive connection between the bulb spacer 39 and the conductive film 38 can be made rigid.
