Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the current value at the short-circuit discharge time by forming part of the conducting coat to be provided on the glass inner wall of the cathode-ray tube with the semiconductor glass composed mainly of V2O5, BaO and P2O5 with the resistivity of 106W1012Ωcm and thus causing the resistance of 0.3W30MΩ at the feeder line.
CONSTITUTION: The cathode-ray tube comprises panel 1, funnel 2, funnel interior graphite coat 3, high voltage supply electrode 5, neck interior graphite coat 6 and electron gun 7 each. Then smeiconductor glass coat 5 featuring the thickness of 20μm and resistivity of about 4×104 is coated on the inner surface of funnel 2 in the distance of 12W42mm from reference line 8 of funnel 2. For this purpose, the semiconductor glass of 106W1012 Ωcm resistivity is mixed with the nitrocellulose and butyl acetate via the impalpable powder of V2O5 of 60 mol%, BaO of 10% and P2O5 of 30%. The semiconductor glass of such composition is then applied and burnt. Thus, the resistance of 0.3W30MΩ is provided between the high voltage supply terminal of the cathode-ray tube and that of the electronic gun in order to block the discharged current.
