Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption by making memory time invariably constant when a power source is turned on, by using a digital circuit to store control signals to be sent to a gain control circuit. CONSTITUTION:Red, green and blue signals from a camera head are sent to encoder 5 via transmission lines 2-4. Transmission lines for red and blue signals are provided with gain control circuits 13a and 13b, whose outputs are compared with the level of the green signal by increase-decrease discriminating circuits 15a and 15b to obtain signals for increasing or decreasing the contents of reversible counting circuits 16a and 16b. By using outputs of increase-decrease discriminating circuits, increase-decrease directions of reversible counting circuits composed of digital circuits are determined to drive them with a clock pulse from terminal CP. For this purpose, count outputs of those reversible counting circuits are DA-converted by DA converters 14a and 14b and applied to the gain control circuits as control signals. Further, the outputs of increase-decrease discriminating circuits are applied to display signal generators to generate display signals.
